Naila Murray, PhD

Dr. Naila Murray is an accomplished artificial intelligence researcher and leader, currently serving as Senior Research Manager at META AI in London, England. She brings over a decade of experience applying AI and machine learning to solve complex problems across sectors like healthcare, transportation, financial services, and more.

In her current role at META AI, Dr. Murray leads an interdisciplinary research team exploring innovative applications of natural language processing, neural networks, and other advanced AI methods. She spearheads research collaborations with top academic institutions while also mentoring junior researchers and advising META leadership on strategic AI initiatives.

Previously, Dr. Murray was the Founding Director of the Institute for Applied AI at City University London. There, she built partnerships with industry, government, and nonprofits to conduct pioneering R&D focused on trustworthy and ethical AI. Her team made critical contributions across recommender systems, computer vision, predictive analytics, and other domains.
