As Associate General Counsel, Legal and Compliance, Jacques leads Data Privacy for DailyPay, a leading earned wage access financial technology provider. Prior to that, he practiced law at Vault 25 firms in New York and serving in legal and business capacities for California and Delaware financial service organizations, advising individuals, business lines, operating organizations, and endowments.

He has been certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (CIPP-US; IAPP) and the Alliance of Mergers and Acquisition Advisors (CM&AA; AM&AA). He is licensed to practice law in NY and previously held an insurance license in Delaware.

Jacques is a passionate, lifelong advocate for the under-served and under-represented. He has served on the non-profit boards of social service community organizations throughout his career on both coasts. He currently serves in leadership roles with a number of New York City’s most impactful diverse professional organizations, including the My Brother’s Keeper | My Sister’s Keeper (“MBKMSK”) Summit, the Council for Urban Professionals (“CUP”), and the Metropolitan Black Bar Association (“MBBA”) Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Section. During his tenure as the Co-Chair of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Section, the Section was named a 2021 “Section of the Year” and in 2022 he was named MBBA “Member of the Year.”

Jacques earned his Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law, where he was a Thurgood Marshall College Fund Scholar, member of the Huver I. Brown Trial Advocacy Team, and CALI (highest section grade, Constitutional Law) award recipient. He earned his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College, cum laude. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and a CUP Fellow.
